Club Ethos
The Barracuda team provides players with a genuine opportunity to progress their rugby careers, but also enjoy themselves playing Rugby in a low pressure environment. The team is organised along the same lines as the Samurai International side with the squad accompanied by a minimum of a manager, physio and coach to deliver the players in the best possible mental and physical state for each tournament.
The side sets out to play fast dynamic rugby sevens which makes them a firm favourite with tournament crowds all over the World! The side operates purely as an invitational team with players meeting up for a tournament and having to get to know each other very quickly. The side doesn't train prior to tournaments and relies on the skills and abilities of the individual players on the field, and of the coaching staff to gel the players into a top level team during the tournament.
The team actively supports the Charity Camp Quality which provides activities for terminally ill children and a proportion of any tournament prize money is donated to the charity at the end of the season.
The Barracudas also provides the Samurai International management with an opportunity of finding new players and to help them develop along the way.
The Barracudas completely agree with the RFU and RFL codes of conduct for players, staff and supporters.
